Gold prospecting equipment and accessories

Howdy all,

I think I should point out that I have access to much more equipment than whats on my website. I am now home most of the time and since I am a home based business it is easier to contact me now. If you call 325-282-2329 and you don't get an answer please leave a short message with name and callback number. I may be in the other room and can't catch you in time.

But I can get Gold Buddy drywashers and Keene sluices and the like. Also dredges and high bankers. Of course I cater to the metal detectorist too. I am here to be of service and I enjoy meeting people and talking about detecting and prospecting or meteorite hunting. Ok everybody be safe out there in the field and if you have a need for any detectors or otherwise just give me a call. Many thanks everyone and God Bless.

Gold Shows

Howdy all,

I don't know if anyone here goes to the GPAA gold shows, but they will be holding at least 20 shows next year. I hope to attend some of these shows as a vendor. I would like to see you all there. I have a lighted sign with John's Detectors on it and you can't miss it. I would like to query you all on what you would like to see at my booth for products ? I am just a small one man home based business and need to know what buyer's want at these shows. Of course they are geared toward gold prospecting equipment. Any suggestions are welcome. Ok I will be back and I hope some of you will post on the blog here. Many thanks to all of you for your patronage and good hunting. Be safe in the field.

Sluices

Howdy all,

Just a headsup that I have only 1 AU Dual Flair sluice in stock and 3 of the Grub Steak's. Even small scale prospecting gear is in demand due to gold prices. So hurry if you want to get in on the sluices. Don't forget I have the Apex picks with magnets. I hope to have the new Garrett AT Gold gold detector on my website too. I also have a good selection of gold pans, classifier's and the Camel Desert Fox auto panner. So ya better hurry and thank you all for your business. Happy prospecting. http://www.johnsmetaldetectors.com/

Arnold the Terminator

Hi Everyone,

Well I understand that another longtime prospecting business is closing it's doors in California. When Arnold signed the bill to stop all dredging in California he destroyed a whole industry. Dredging doesn't endanger fish to the point of extinction at all ! But the Terminator at the stroke of a pen has taken another freedom from a country that he cares nothing about. All he wants to do is make Terminator movies ! I am hoping that there will be an awakening by the gold dredgers to take back the right to be out in the wilderness and to find that yellow metal in the waterways of California again. Bring back the miners and makers of the equipment, like dredges, to bolster the economy of the State of California and other areas as well. It is only going to comeback if we all try to make our voices heard where it counts. I don't even live anywhere close to gold country, but it makes me madder than a trapped bobcat as to what Arnold did. So that is that and I will be quiet now.

Fisher F75

Howdy all,

I get a lot of calls about what I feel is the absolute best metal detector for the money. Well my opinion is the Fisher F75 VLF. I have wrestled with this opinion for quite some time because the Minelab Etrac is one darn good machine too. But in the end the F75 is lighter, faster recovery, more sensitive, deeper, and easier on batteries. So there ya go for what it's worth. Dave Johnson and Mr.Gardiner have kept the Fisher F75 as king of the hill. So if any of you have been trying to figure it out and if my opinion is worth anything to ya then there it is. You know I do sell them but I don't give them away. Well good hunting all and stay safe in the field.

Rising Prices

Howdy everyone,

I hope your all getting along. You have probably noticed some items on my website that have risen in cost. I hope that big inflation isn't setting in but as a very small business I am forced to raise some pricing due to the rise in wholesale costs. I am hopeful with reserve that this will not continue. I am not going to swallow everything Big Brother tells us. I am tempted to follow a buddy into the goldfields to look for the yellow metal. The State of the Union doesn't seem too solid at this time. But if anything God Bless our fighting troops overseas and may they come home whole and safe. The Congress of this Nation has not the interest of the People in their thoughts and actions. Our last President left the southern border unsecured and so goes it with the present administration. Now I am supposed to be a metal detector dealer and forgive my outspoken posting, I just feel the need to say something about what is coming at us lately. Please forgive the Rant. So may God Bless you all and if you have any needs for metal detecting equipment or prospecting gear give me a ring and I am always thankful for everyones patronage. Be safe.

Meteorites

Hi Everyone,

I hope your all weathering this economic mess going on in our country today. I have been getting a lot of calls wanting me to ID someones possible meteorite rock. I cannot and will not try to identify a rock as being a meteorite over the telephone. Iam sorry but it isn't possible to do this.

I also am not a buyer of meteorites, I sell metal detectors to you so that you can use it as a tool to find meteorites. Meteorite hunting is a lot of fun as with any kind of metal detecting. But I am more than happy to assist you in buying the right metal detector for your needs. There are many good quality metal detectors available to you all. Be sure to call me for help with the purchase of a metal detector and it is always my pleasure to chat to anyone because service is thr larger part of our business. Thank you all for your support and as always be sure to leave a message if I don't answer right away when making your call to us. Be safe in the field everyone.

Weather

Hi everyone,

I hope your all beating the heat. We have had some unusual temps here in the triple digit area which at least for me has shut down my metal detecting completely. I hope it will change when we get to September for the much cooler side. I want to say also that may we all be asking our God to bring back better economic times to the United States of America. I know many that are in stressful conditions with the recession. Metal detecting probably is the last thing on most people's minds. I don't want to see anyone doing without and we should help each other through this rough period. May all our fighting men and women of the military come back home safe and whole. This is something I wanted to say and I wish everyone the best, and I hope to meet some of you in the field. So stay safe and good hunting to all. God Bless ya.

Gold Prices

Howdy All,

It is amazing about gold value. I never thought I would see gold 1700.00+ an ounce ! This is the time to consider prospecting for gold especially if your out of work. It doesn't take a lot of costly equipment to go for the gold either. You can even find plans for building your own stuff if you look around the internet. You just need to research on where to go prospecting and figure out your expenses for a trip. I used to live in Tucson and went to the desert nearly every weekend. We had a homemade drywasher and it did a fair job of getting some gold. But checkout our sluices, gold pans, classifiers and other equipment and start planning your own prospecting excursion and good luck !

Swingy Thingy

Hi Everyone,

Yes I am still here and it has been awhile since I posted anything. I wanted to say that I am sold out of the Swingy Thingy harness temporarily. I hope everyone is well and geared up for some metaldetecting. I have not had time to do much here but hope to soon. If you have a need and don't see it on my website your very welcome to call and if you get the answering machine go ahead and leave a note to me. I will call you back because I want to be of service. I have many things that are not listed on the website. I am always thankful to you all for your patronage.

I hope some of you have made good finds out there. It is never quite hunted out. The new Garrett AT Pro is showing some good use in the field. I really like the waterproof feature of it. I hope I can put it through a good workout soon. With the high gas prices and slow economy it makes it hard to venture out, but hang in there everyone and just pray for God to bring the blessings to the USA.

Ok my friends I will get on to other things and I will try to be in here more often. Many thanks for coming to my blog and may God Bless each and everyone of you. Be safe in the field and good hunting.

The Minelab Brand

Hi everyone,
It has been awhile since I have posted here on my blog. I will keep this short. John's Detectors is no longer an authorized dealer for Minelab. It is official today. Instead of pointing fingers I will say it was a great ride but for some reason they just stopped selling here at John's Detectors. I am glad it is over with and I will continue on with other brands that are on my website. I have a liking for the Tesoro brand and they always seem to sell. So goodbye Minelab and I hope the weather is fair in Malaysia. I will be back but I appreciate the support that everyone gives to John's Detectors. Be safe in the field for now.

Garrett Ace 350

Hi everyone,

I hope your New Year has started out good and it has been a great time at our place. I have enjoyed the time off but will hit the salt mine again tomorrow. I have been trying out the new Garrett Ace 350. It is a decent machine money wise. The addition of the new DD coil has added to the ability of the machine very well. I buried a clad dime at about 3 inches deep amongst tiny iron fragments. Of course it is face down but I am still able to detect it if I go slow with my swing. It seemed the further I moved the coil up toward the toe the better the response to the dime. I am talking about mucho iron on top of and around the dime. So if your in a really iron saturated ground go slow and when you get even a half a belltone do a walk around and use that DD coil to your advantage. I think the new coil is the best addition to the Ace 350. So if you are wanting to get in cheap and still have a detector that can do a decent job give the Ace 350 consideration. I will try the dime on edge next and see what I get. This is just a quick test I wanted to try. Ok be safe everyone and I hope to hear from y'all soon.
