World's Largest Rattlesnake Roundup

Hi Everyone,

Well we just finished up a show at the World's Largest Rattlesnake Roundup in Sweetwater,Tx. a week ago and it was a great success again ! But I didn't sell anything as for metal detecting and prospecting equipment goes. I don't know if it is a sign of the economy because they had 40,000 people to come through the gate ! I think all of the vendors were wondering what happened to spending money at the show . But I handed out lots of cards and brochures and hopefully we will get many calls for metal detectors . I must say that the high gold prices are really driving people to get out to find the yellow metal. We will soon see a new Fisher Gold Bug Pro and the Teknetics G2 metal detectors . Ok that's it for now and I wish you all good hunting and be safe while your out in the field .

I am Deeply Grateful

Hi everyone,

I wanted to say to all of those that have done business with me or even just asked for information on a metal detector or anything else, I am Deeply Grateful to you all ! I know that being a part time dealer right now might make it harder to contact me but I do aim to please and always keep trying. I am enjoying being of service to you all and at least sharing what I know about the metal detecting hobby. I am having fun meeting you all at least by email or phone and sometimes even a handshake.

So if I can be of help or service please believe me I look forward to it and no one ever is a bother. With technology moving so fast it is going to be neat to see what comes to the hobby in 5 or 10 years. I just want to wish all of you good hunting and above all be safe in the field. Thank you all for your patronage and God Bless from John's Detectors.

A Warning about Deepers metal detectors

This is to all that view this, I have been contacted by the Deepers Metal Detectors company in Mexico to be a dist/dealer for them. Avoid them because it is all bogus!!! I suppose I asked enough questions to make them nervous and it looks like they dropped me like a hot potato! I didn't fall for their story and have not gotten ripped by them. This is just a warning for others that might be contacted by them to stay away from Deepers! I hate having to do something like this but it is necessary at times. Just my 2 cents to everyone and my customers. Everyone be careful and safe.

My Inventory

I just wanted to post a friendly reminder to everyone that visits my website, if you don't see what you want, call and if I am not here leave a message and I will get back to you asap. I am able to get many other items for you if you don't mind a short wait. I am also trying to break into more prospecting equipment and would like to be a supplier for all of the prospectors out there.

As many of you may know with the worldwide gold rush prospecting gear is in short supply and the big Minelab 4500 and Teknetics T2 and the Fisher F75 are almost impossible to get now. But we still are able to get plenty of the Eureka Gold VLF gold detectors by Minelab. And don't forget the Tesoro Lobo Supertraq. Fisher also has the Golbug II and will be releasing the Goldbug 3 very soon.

I seem to be getting more orders for the new Angus MacKirk AU Trap flair sluice. This seems to be a very popular sluice already. Also remember to include a set of classifiers to get down to the finest of gold dust. I will be getting the classifier sets from Desort Fox soon. I also stock the JOBE classifiers too. I try to keep a good variety of gold pans. I think it is really interesting to see all the different designs and ideas in gold pans.

Of course my mainline is metal detectors and I try my best to use each and every model so that I can be truthful about their capabilities to all my customers. My favorite metal detector is the Minelab Etrac as far as digital units go. For analog I still like Tesoro's and try to keep them in stock. But there is a shortage on the water machines by Tesoro because of a connector that is not available anymore. They said that these models should be out in another month.

I don't think I mentioned that I am now part owner of the Sharon Kay claims in West New Mexico. I went in with 9 other fellows to purchase them. I've yet to get out to them but hope to soon. This is also known as the Rosedale District.

Ok I wish you all the best and be safe and good hunting!
